SELF-RESTRICTION
We don’t use any facial recognition or collect biometric data and only process minimal pseudonymized data. The pseudonymized data can only be analyzed in aggregated form. This means that unintentional identification of a person is technically simply impossible.

Data security
This principle guarantees the security of our systems. Advertima’s technology uses the highest level of encryption. Combined with the architecture of our technology, this protects our systems from unauthorized external access.

Advertima’s technology separates data in the system and defines clear processes that follow data protection regulations.

How can we help you?
Is Advertima’s technology able to identify individuals?
No. Our technology works in compliance with the European data protection legislation. Our visual sensors cannot be used to identify individuals; therefore, it is impossible to collect personal consumer data.
What kind of anonymized metadata does the installation gather?
The following characteristics are identified by the system:
– Gender (male, female)
– Age
– Total time spent in a specific zone
– Routes taken within a zone
The demographic metadata gathered is stored for analysis purposes, which is ultimately the aim of the data collection. It is technically impossible to draw conclusions about the original individual or reconstruct an image from the stored metadata.
Does the installation film people?
No. Advertima’s technology uses 3D stereoscopes as optical sensors only. They are not used as cameras to film and store video footage. Optical information is processed in real-time and demographic metadata (estimated age and gender) are fully anonymized and extracted in real-time. The optical sensor is not used to create image data.
Is it possible to link the collected data to a consumer’s loyalty or credit card?
No. Our technology is not able to identify an individual; therefore, it is not possible to link the collected data to someone’s loyalty and credit card.
Are the recordings stored?
No. The Advertima system does not store any image or video recordings. Our technology immediately deletes the visual information after extracting the anonymized data within 70 milliseconds.
Is Advertima’s technology compliant with data protection legislation?
Yes. Advertima technology is compliant with EU data protection laws. We inform with a label at the location about the use and purpose of Advertima’s technology.
Can the technology be used for criminal prosecution?
No. The Advertima solution is not designed for the identification of individuals – the architecture of the solution means that Advertima is not able to use it for such purposes.
